A man has died after he was found by police wandering along a rural highway with serious injuries to his arm.
Police have launched a critical incident investigation after they found the 43-year-old stumbling along the Mid Western Highway in Cowra, in NSW’s central west, just after 10.30pm on Tuesday.
Officers had been called to a property in Cowra over a concern for welfare.

Shortly after they found the man with serious injuries to his arm walking along the highway.
Police attempted to treat the man before paramedics were called and he was rushed to Cowra Hospital.
The 43-year-old was unable to be saved, with a critical incident team from NSW Police Central West Police District now investigating.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
