‘Malayalee From India’ box office collection day 7: The Nivin Pauly starrer earns Rs 12.65 crore in the first week
Nivin Pauly’s recent release ‘Malayalee From India’ has collected Rs 12.65 crore from its worldwide box office collection by the end of the first week, according to a report by Sacnilk.
Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, ‘Malayalee From India’ has Nivin Pauly, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Anaswara Rajan playing the lead roles. On the seventh day, May 7, ‘Malayalee From India’ accumulated an estimated Rs 8.48 crore in net earnings within the Indian market. However, the seventh day, Tuesday, May 7, the film was able to make only Rs 46 lakh from India net collection, which marks a slight decline of -11.54% compared to the previous day’s performance.
On Tuesday, Nivin Pauly’s film recorded an occupancy rate of 8.66% in the morning shows, followed by afternoon shows at 16.56%, evening shows at 13.82%, and night shows dominating with an impressive 23.54% occupancy. The overall Malayalam occupancy on Tuesday was 15.65%, which wasn’t impressive compared to its previous day records.

The overseas collection of the film by the end of the seventh day currently stands at Rs 4 crore.
ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 and wrote, “Dijo Jose Antony’s Malayalee From India is a well intentioned film with the makings of something that could have done wonders in terms of political commentary or even addressing the root of some of the social issues. But, somewhere the control over the story and the scale of it is lost, leading to an underwhelming climax which was more for the gallery than anything. That said, Nivin Pauly has once again given a good performance which was wild and unhinged when necessary and grounded when that was required. The message of the film is clear but it goes to deliver it in such a roundabout way that one would feel like they watched two different films.”
