While it’s unclear when exactly they started dating, Lauren and Jeff’s romance was first exposed by the National Enquirer in January 2019, while they were both married to other people.
Soon after it was revealed, the mogul divorced his wife of more than 25 years and the mother of his four children, Mackenzie Scott, while Lauren left her husband, Endeavor talent agency co-founder Patrick Whitesell.
The businessman – who is the second richest man in the world and has a reported net worth of $203 billion – and the ex TV personality then made their first public appearance together in May of that year, and have been happily in love ever since.
They got engaged in early 2023, and Lauren opened up about the moment Jeff asked her to marry him to Vogue last year.
She recalled how Jeff popped the question on his $500 million superyacht after they enjoyed a romantic dinner under the stars together.
She said Jeff concealed the huge diamond ring under her pillow, and that she almost ‘blacked out’ when she discovered it at the end of the evening just before they went to bed.
When asked about their upcoming nuptials at the time, Lauren admitted that they were still in the early stages of planning the wedding, so they didn’t have a lot figured out just yet.
‘We’re still thinking about the wedding and what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet,’ she dished.
The couple recently relocated from Seattle, Washington, to Indian Creek Island in Florida.
Indian Creek is famously known as ‘Billionaire Bunker’ thanks to its mega-rich residents, which are a mix of celebrities and business moguls, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
The privately owned residential enclave has 41 waterfront homes owned by 36 property owners, according to the village’s website.
Each mansion is built around the perimeter of the island to ensure that all residents have a waterfront view of Biscayne Bay.
In the middle sits the ‘ultra-exclusive private membership’ Indian Creek Country Club and an 18-hole golf course, perfect for a billionaire looking to unwind.
The island also has its own private 13-person police force for its roughly 85 residents and a 24-hour marine patrol to keep an eye on the water surrounding the village.
Jeff has purchased three mansions on the island, totaling a whopping $237 million.
