Raymond King announced that he is leaving Lola Amour after eight years of being with the band.

On Instagram, Lola Amour posted Raymond’s message, saying the band was just a hobby when they were starting out.

“We’ve always had other long-term plans for ourselves. And while I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved, my plans stayed the same. Sadly, the band isn’t part of it,” he said.

“After eight years of giving everything I could, I’ve realized that success, fulfillment, and happiness are different things. Now, I choose to be happy,” Raymond continued.

He added that, despite this, he is very grateful for both his time in the band and the whole Lola Amour team.

“We’ve reached more than I could have ever dreamed of and I couldn’t think of anyone else I would have done it with,” he said.

His last gig with the band will be at their Album Concert on April 13 at the Circuit Makati Concert Grounds.

“I hope to see you there and thanks for listening for the last eight years,” he said.

Manu Dumayas will take over as the band’s new bassist.

Lola Amour also thanked Raymond for being part of the band.

“Goodbyes are never easy, but we’ll always support you and what makes you happy,” they said on Instagram.

“Thank you for the last eight years, buddy! You are a huge reason why we are here where we are today. You know we’re not a cheesy bunch, but saying that ‘we’ll miss you’ is an understatement. Alam mo na ‘yan,” the band said.

Aside from their mega-hit, “Raining in Manila,” Lola Amour is also known for their songs “Fallen,” “Pwede Ba,” and “Maybe Maybe.”

Lola Amour will be releasing their self-titled debut studio album on April 10.
