Lions’ Taylor Decker reveals he had offseason surgery, extension talks with team
On the second day of the Detroit Lions’ offseason program, left tackle Taylor Decker was made available to the media and revealed two things: he has had talks with the team about an extension, and he had offseason surgery.
Decker stated that the offseason surgery was on his ankle and foot and the issue stemmed from an injury he’s been dealing with since college.
While he expects to be limited during the spring, the 29-year-old says he’ll no doubt be ready for the start of the season and is feeling great.
On the contract extension, Decker said he and the Lions are in the early stages, but he seemed positive about getting something done eventually.
Decker wasn’t the only Lions player who revealed he’s had contract extension talks with the team. His quarterback, Jared Goff, said the same on Tuesday.
