LeBron James’s jersey will be in an NBA auction hosted by Sotheby’s. The event will feature items from the first In-season Tournament, including game-worn jerseys of players from the Los Angeles Lakers, who were the champions of the competition.
The jerseys were worn in the semifinal game against the New Orleans Pelicans and will be sold as one item. James and Anthony Davis appear in this set, as do the rest of the team, making it a 13-piece collection. It has a starting price of USD 200,000 and is likely to fetch an amount of over USD 250,000, up to USD 500,000, as per Daily Mail.
James’ “City Edition” jersey, which he wore in the quarterfinal against the Phoenix Suns is also up for sale. In that game, the 39-year-old put up an all-round show, scoring 31 points, with eight rebounds, eleven assists and five steals. This item already has a bid of USD 42,000 and is likely to draw an amount of over USD 80,000 up to USD 120,000.
