Former US Army general David Petraeus called on countries to “do more” to assist the United States and the United Kingdom in their fight against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels as it is a “more difficult problem”.
‘More difficult problem’: Countries should be ‘doing more’ to fight Houthi rebels
The US and the UK mounted a series of attacks against the Houthi rebels who have been disrupting vital commercial shipping waterways.
“I think there’s an opportunity for many countries to be doing more.
“The truth is, it’s only the US and UK that have carried out the kinetic activities here.
“This is a more difficult problem – it is spread over a greater area; it is not just in the Red Sea.”
