Tom Rodriguez ready to fall in love again, says he's seeing someone

Tom Rodriguez revealed that he is now seeing someone, but for now, he wants to keep the identity of his special someone to himself.

In his interview with Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras,” Thursday, Tom said that he focused on self-love and growth during his two-year break in the United States.

“Mas simple lahat ng bagay. Relish the simple things, kung ano ang para sa’yo, mapupunta sa’yo na hindi mo kailangan ‘kailangan ganito, kailangan ’yan,’ trying to control life. Learn to just resign yourself, resign yourself to the Lord and He always provides and every step of the way na parang magkaka-anxiety ka. Kasi tinatakot mo ‘yung sarili mo,” he said.

He continued, “You’re living out of fear, out of anxiety. Instead of living out of love, joy, hope. Kapag dun ka pala, everything just falls into place.”

Tom took the break following his separation from Carla Abella.

In a previous interview, the actress said that she is okay if they were to see each other again.

When asked the same question, Tom said, “For me, honestly, I don’t think it matters to me much. We have our own paths and our own lives now and I wish her well and hers.”

Tom said he thinks he is now 100% healed, and that he is “very” ready for his comeback.

The actor also said that he believes in second chances.

Asked if he’s ready to fall in love again, Tom said, “Yeah, I am now. In fact, I am seeing someone.”

“Once I was ready, it came at the right time. At that point, I thought it would never happen again,” he said.

For now, Tom plans to keep the identity of his special someone to himself.

“Magdadamot ako ata. Like what I said, I really want to keep it to myself. But like I said, I’ll live my life like how it is. So, eventually siguro everyone would—what they see is what they get. But for now, it’s my own now,” he said.

Tom returned to the country last month.

He flew to Arizona, United States in 2022, following his divorce from Carla. The two had been in a relationship for seven years before getting married in October 2021.
