Baldur’s Gate 3: This is What a Female Astarion Looks Like
- Companions play a crucial role in Baldur’s Gate 3, reacting to player choices with real consequences that impact gameplay.
- A creative player designed a female version of Astarion, a popular companion known for his charm and personal quest.
- Larian Studios’ dedication to the game’s community has led to continued success, with new features added post-launch.
A creative Baldur’s Gate 3 player has taken it upon themselves to see what Astarion would look like if he were female. Astarion remains one of the most popular companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 due to his charming wit and his own personal quest, which spans the entire length of the game.
The companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 are arguably the most important part of the experience. They comment on everything that players do, forming their own opinions and taking action accordingly. If a companion feels strongly enough about the player’s actions, they’ll simply leave the party for good. This creates real consequences throughout the game, and makes every playthrough feel dramatically different, depending on the actions taken by gamers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Creates Unusual Build Based on Deadpool
A Baldur’s Gate 3 player online shares a very unusual build from the game, based heavily on the popular Marvel superhero, Deadpool.
The female version of Astarion was posted by Redditor blue-flu, who shared the creation with the game’s community. While the user never explicitly mentions it in the thread, most seemed to think it had been done via FaceApp, rather than being a Baldur’s Gate 3 mod that players can actually use in-game. Some couldn’t hide how they felt about female Astarion, with one user giving a simple “I can fix her.” Others felt that it needed some of the laugh lines, eye bags, and bite marks re-added, to bring back some of Astarion’s character into the creation.
Female Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3
Since the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, fans have found plenty of unique ways to show their passion for the game. Sometimes, this manifests in the way of in-game mods, and other times, players pay tribute outside of the game. Just recently, one Baldur’s Gate 3 fan created an incredibly detailed map showing almost all the game’s locations, ensuring that other players can have a playthrough without missing a single area. These types of creations are awesome, as they have real practical use in-game.
