Kaizer Chiefs need all hands on deck for the remainder of a disappointing DStv Premiership campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs welcome back key trio
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Yusuf Maart were spotted in training pictures ahead of Amakhosi’s weekend clash with SuperSport. They’re reportedly fit and available to face Matsatsantsa. Siyethemba Sithebe and Sibongiseni Mthethwa sat in the midfield engine room for Chiefs in their defeat to Richards Bay last time out. In addition, outstanding central defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is back in full training and available for selection.

‘TT’ Ditlhokwe has been a huge miss
Ditlhokwe, one of the cornerstones of the Chiefs’ back four, dislocated his shoulder while on international duty with Botswana in October. Skipper of his country, big things are expected of the 25-year-old at club level too. He’s in the frame to be a major contender for the Chiefs captaincy when Itumeleng Khune hangs up his gloves. Ditlhokwe underwent surgery on December 11th and a three-month timeframe was provided for his return.
“TT (Ditlhokwe) came off the operating table yesterday for his shoulder and we expect him to be out for about three months. We wish him a good recovery. And Ashley (du Preez) is maybe a week and a half to two weeks away from being back,” Cavin Johnson told the Kaizer Chiefs Media team in December.

Throwback to simpler times in 2015
2015 was a good vintage for the Glamour Boys. Chiefs clinched the league title on April 22nd 2015 with a 4-1 win over Polokwane City, courtesy of goals from George Lebese, Bernard Parker and a Matthew Rusike brace. There were still three games of the PSL season to spare. What a luxury.
Can Chiefs secure a spot in the top 8 this season?
