KUWAIT: Head of the Heart Department at the Chest Diseases Hospital Dr Abdullah Al-Enezi said the heart physiology team under the supervision of Dr Fawziya Al-Kandari and Dr Abdullah Jamaan succeeded in fixing the most modern heart defibrillation for several patients. He said this new technology is considered the most modern development in the field of heart pacers as it does not require wires inside the heart or blood vessels.
Chest hospital was chosen to be among the first health centers that adopts this modern technology due to the availability of the experienced in this field. Aurora EV-ICD System Implant Cardioverter Defibrillator is the first of its kind extra-vascular defibrillator to treat sudden cardiac arrest and abnormal heart rhythms with defibrillation and antitachycardia pacing.
