Okara reacts to Bayelsa United’s defeat to Abia Warriors
Bayelsa United head coach, Meremu Okara says loss of concentration was the reason for his team’s 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors.
Okara believes that his players deserved at least a point from the game with their performance.
“The result didn’t reflect the game because the better side lost which is very painful,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“After playing so well controlling the game to just that last minute mistake from one of our defenders, it’s painful I pity the boys.
“Bayelsa United lost to that last minute loss of concentration so if you have your chances you convert it as we had a lot of scoring chances but we failed to take them.”
Bayelsa United occupy 15th position on the table pending the outcome of the remaining matchday 31 fixture which are scheduled to be decided later on Sunday (today).
