Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney has slammed Joe Biden for “making stuff up” after the US President wrongly claimed he had taken a train across the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.
‘It’s embarrassing’: Joe Biden ‘making stuff up’ about Baltimore bridge
Six people are presumed dead after a container ship crashed into Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge on Tuesday morning (local time).
“I don’t know if he’s lying or just remembering things wrong,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host James Morrow.
“Either way, it’s not very presidential.
“He’s trying to connect with people, but he just makes stuff up.
“It’s embarrassing to have a President of the United States who doesn’t know where he’s been, he doesn’t know the bridges around here – it’s added to a long list of embarrassments for the President.”
