INTUİTİVE MACHİNES’İN AY’A İNİŞ ARACI NOVA-C FIRLATILDI

Intuitive Machines’in ilk Ay’a iniş aracı olan Nova-C’yi yörüngeye taşıyacak Falcon-9 roketi Florida’daki Kennedy Uzay Merkezi’nden başarılı bir şekilde fırlatıldı.

ABD merkezli Intuitive Machines (IM) şirketinin ilk Ay’a iniş denemesi olan IM-1 misyonu başladı. IM tarafından tasarlanan Ay’a iniş aracı Nova-C’yi taşıyan Falcon-9 roketi, TSİ 09.06’da ABD’nin Florida eyaletindeki Kennedy Uzay Merkezi’nden başarılı bir şekilde fırlatıldı. Sivil uzay taşımacılığı şirketi SpaceX’e ait Falcon-9 roketinin yeniden kullanılabilirlik özelliğine sahip ilk aşama güçlendiricisinin fırlatma sonrasında Florida’daki Cape Canaveral Uzay Kuvvetleri İstasyonu’nda bulunan İniş Bölgesi 1’e (LZ-1) ineceği açıklandı.

Intuitive Machines’in IM-1 görevi kapsamında NASA’nın Ticari Ay Yükü Hizmetleri (CLPS) programı için Ay yüzeyine bilimsel ve teknolojik yükler taşıyacağı öğrenildi.

Halka açık bir şirket olarak faaliyet gösteren Intuitive Machines’in CLPS programı kapsamında Ay yüzeyine yük taşımak için NASA ile 3 yıllık sözleşme imzaladığı biliniyor. IM-1 görevini başlatmak üzere normal şartlarda dün gerçekleştirilmesi beklenen fırlatma teknik aksaklıklar nedeniyle ertelenmişti.
