BARBIE, the quintessential icon and inspiration for women all over the world, celebrates her 65th anniversary at Cove Manila from April 27 to June 2, 2024.

Themed, “Barbie 65th anniversary – inspiring stories, shaping the future,” the celebration highlights Barbie’s influence in empowering women with her tagline, “You can be anything!”

More than celebrating Barbie’s anniversary, the attractions are about encouraging youths who identify as women to dream without limits. It’s an opportunity to honor Barbie’s enduring legacy and the unlimited possibilities that she symbolizes.

The main attractions of the celebration include an Interactive tunnel with a wall for stick-on notes, a life-sized camper with three play areas, a diorama featuring 130 Barbie career dolls, an ice cream truck and food truck, a “You can be anything” pop-up booth and a photo opportunity box.

First created in 1959 by Ruth Handler, Barbie has accumulated 250 careers over the years that resonate with children such as being an astronaut, a zoologist and a chief executive officer. This makes her the cultural icon she is today.

“Our partnership with Okada Manila is a fusion of creativity, joy, and a shared passion and mission of creating memorable experiences to inspire the next generation of dreamers and doers,” says Liza Yao, managing director at Richprime Global Inc.

The Barbie attractions are located at Okada”s Cove Manila, the Philippines first indoor beach club and nightclub with a 9,000-square meter dome, equipped with temperature control and ultraviolet protection.
