Inside most expensive Pebble Beach mansion ever on sale for £30m with putting green
A stunning mansion near the 13th hole at the famous Pebble Beach golf course is up for sale at a whopping $39 million.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament is set to commence from January 31 to February 4, and invites to the luxurious Californian event are hard to come by. However, those unable to get their hands on the coveted tickets will be able to get a nice view of the course in the comfort of a lush mansion.
The 7,400-square-foot property currently owned by automotive accessories tycoon David MacNeil, boasts seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The three-acre home also comes with a guest house and two full offices for anyone expecting a large group and those who may need to get some work done.
The mansion’s lower sporting level is the best place on the property to watch the golf when the action commences at the end of the month. There is also a private putting green and outdoor kitchen to allow golf lovers to test their skills.
The property also allows people to witness the breathtaking views of Carmel Bay, Point Lobos, and the Grand Pacific. Ahead of this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, some changes have been made to the event.
2024 marks the second season that the PGA Tour will have signature events. These tournaments come with increased prize purses and a limited number of players allowed to compete.

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am’s purse has now increased from $9.3 million to $20 million. It has become one of eight signature events on the tour, which is an 80-player tournament with no cut.
The first two days of the tournament will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course before the third and final rounds will take place at Pebble Beach. Ahead of the event tournament director Steve John said: “We can’t wait to see the best pros from the PGA Tour here and many for the very first time.”
The Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which was won by Justin Rose in 2023, will feature some of the world’s top players such as World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, reigning U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark, 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am champion Jordan Spieth. 2023 FedEx Cup Champion Viktor Hovland and four-time major champion Rory McIlroy are also set to compete.

The changes made to some PGA tournaments are a result of the threat from the lucrative LIV Golf series. The Saudi-backed circuit has been very divisive since its inception and received plenty of criticism from some, such as McIlroy.
But during an appearance on the Stick to Football Podcast earlier this month, the Northern Irishman seems to have softened in his views on LIV Golf. “I was maybe a little judgmental of the guys who went to LIV Golf at the start, and I think it was a bit of a mistake on my part because I now realize that not everyone is in my position or in Tiger Woods’ position,” he said.
“I’ve gone through the last two years with this altruistic approach where I’ve looked at the world the way I’ve wanted to see it. I wouldn’t say I’ve lost the fight against LIV, but I’ve just accepted the fact that this is part of our sport now.”
