The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to start on Friday (March 22) with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli-starrer Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. A total of 10 teams will fight against each other in a total of 74 matches over a period of two months to become champions.

While CSK will look to retain their title by coming up with a big show this year, the likes of the Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals will start as favourites for the top prize.
