Illan tv-viihteessä on elokuva Täydellinen sotilas (1992), joka on on Jean-Claude Van Dammen ja Dolph Lundgrenin ensimmäinen yhteinen elokuva. Myöhemmin he työskentelivät yhdessä elokuvissa The Expendables 2 ja Black Water.

Wikipedian mukaan monet kriitikot pitivät elokuvaa Terminator 2 -kloonina. Lisäksi sitä haukuttiin tyypilliseksi, aivottomaksi toimintaelokuvaksi.

Tarinassa Luc Deveraux’sta tehdään supersotilas geenitekniikan avulla. Vaikka miehen muisti on pyyhitty, takaumat nousevat pintaan erään tehtävän aikana.

Van Damme ja Lundgren osallistuivat vuoden 1992 Cannesin elokuvajuhlille mainostaakseen elokuvaa. Siellä Van Dammen ja Lundgrenin nähtiin riitelevän, tönivän ja uhkailevan toisiaan, ja lopulta turvamiehet puuttuivat asiaan ja lopettivat touhun.

Kaksikon välisestä tappelusta tuli tiedotusvälineiden puheenaihe, ja tapauksesta raportoitiin monilla uutiskanavilla. Vuosia myöhemmin Lundgren paljasti haastattelussa heidän lavastaneen koko jutun, jotta elokuvalle saataisiin julkisuutta. Myös Van Damme vahvisti asian myöhemmin.
