When Are These Changes Going To Take Place?

On May 1, 2024, alterations to Savings Accounts and credit card rules, several major banks in India, including Yes Bank and ICICI Bank, are implementing these changes.

Changes In HDFC Bank Rules

HDFC Bank has extended the deadline for its Senior Citizen Care Fixed Deposit scheme. This scheme is designed for senior citizens.

When Was Senior Citizen Care Fixed Deposit Scheme Launched?

Senior Citizen Care Fixed Deposit Scheme was introduced in May 2020.

Senior Citizen Care Fixed Deposit Scheme: Last Date To Invest

The special FD offers higher interest rates with the last date to invest extended to May 10, 2024.

Changes In ICICI Bank Rules

ICICI Bank will roll out revised service charges for various savings account transactions from May 1, 2024. These changes impact services like cheque book issuance, IMPS transfers, ECS/NACH Debit Returns, and stop payment charges, among others.

Yes Bank will also introduce a revised schedule of charges for savings accounts from May 1, 2024.

Changes In Yes Bank Credit Card Rules 2024

YES Bank has also made modifications to its credit card rules, particularly affecting the fuel fee category on certain card types.

Changes In IDFC First Bank

IDFC First Bank has introduced a new rule regarding credit card payments for utility bills. An additional charge of 1 percent plus GST will be applied if the total credit card payments for utility bills exceed Rs 20,000.
