General Staff updates data on Russian losses in Ukraine (Getty Images)
On Thursday, January 11, Russia’s losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 830 occupiers, bringing the total losses of the Russian army since the invasion to 367,620 military personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 12 enemy tanks and 22 armored combat vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to January 11, 2024 are estimated as follows:
Personnel: About 367,620 (+830) individuals. Tanks: 6,050 (+12) units. Armored personnel vehicles (APV): 11,238 (+22) units. Artillery systems: 8,699 (+15) units. Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 957 (+1) unit. Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 641 (+2) units. Aircraft: 329 units. Helicopters: 324 units. Tactical UAVs: 6,834 units. Cruise missiles: 1,806 (+1) units. Warships/boats: 23 units. Submarines: 1 unit. Vehicles and fuel tanks: 11,596 (+21) units. Special equipment: 1,337 (+1) unit.
Frontline situation
Over the past day, there were 73 combat clashes on the Ukrainian front. Defense forces successfully repelled several attacks on the Lyman direction and near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian and Russian forces are engaged in positional battles on multiple fronts. Russians complain that Ukrainian Armed Forces restrict their maneuverability between positions on the Avdiivka front with the help of drones.
