Hundreds gather to mourn Molly Ticehurst
Yes Sophie, it’s been an absolutely heartbreaking afternoon. Family and friends gathering at the local rugby club here in Forbes to say goodbye to Molly Tyshurst, a 28 year old mother. They shared memories of her infectious laugh saying that she found her calling when she became a mother. There was a letter that was read out from her six year old son. It said I love you, I wish you were here. You were the best mum in the world. And from her dad Tony, he shared the words Molly didn’t have to leave us to grow Angel wings. Also that every parent. Would like to see their kid change the world and she has. Her alleged murder last week has sparked a national movement against against domestic violence. Just yesterday, the government pledged a billion dollars in the face of this crisis. Premier Chris Mince was in attendance at the funeral. Today he himself is mourning the loss of his father who died just 24 hours ago following a heart attack. Molly’s family and friends are hoping that he will listen to their calls for bail reform and they want the law written in Molly’s name. So her name won’t be forgotten? Sophie. Annalise Fault. Thank you.
