Now it’s going to feel a lot like summer across Southern Ontario heading into Sunday, but with that, we’re going to get some summer like active weather as well through Saturday, overnight into Sunday, the first round of thunderstorms, bringing with them severe thunderstorms for areas across the Nickel Belt, all the way down to Sarnia. This is going to be accompanied with heavy rain and even large hail in some cases. Now the warm front pushing through Sunday, that’s what’s going to be bringing that warmer air mass as a cold front moves on in. Pushing further towards the east through Saturday overnight, that’s what’s going to trigger those scattered thunderstorms across regions of the Nickel Belt down to Sarnia. Now this is going to continue to push further towards the east into Sunday afternoon, bring a second round of thunderstorm activity further towards the southern end of Southern Ontario. The second round of thunderstorm activity for Sunday afternoon will be widespread from Windsor all the way up to Montreal, but less severe in nature. Now with all of this, we are going to be expecting quite a bit of rainfall as well. 20 to 30mm expected for the King Carden region and the southern end of southern Ontario, but higher amounts accepted for areas like Perry Sound as well as off the shores of Georgian Bay.
