Tanzania coach, Adel Amrouche, has been sacked after losing 3-0 to Morocco in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
The Algerian was also handed an eight-match ban and fined $10, 000 by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) following his comment after their 3-0 thrashing by Morocco in their first match.
Amruche had questioned the influence of Morocco in the match and alleged that the North Africans choose the referees to officiate their match.
“Morocco determines everything in African football, they also choose their referees.
“We remain spectators because they determine everything,” he said
Tanzania will take on former champions, Zambia in their second Group F match on Sunday by 6pm.
