While the rain drizzled, fog continues across parts of Atlantic Canada through your weekend. Now we could be looking at in the hardest hit areas by Saturday, up to 120mm of rain. So yeah, flooding comes to mind. Tricky travel as well as we look to this evening, the rainfall rates of 15mm per hour potentially. Bay of Fundy really the target for our heavy rain, but Halifax, you’re in that mix through Friday. Heavy rain persists, even a rumble of Thunder. And then let’s throw this at you, we have cooler temperatures coming in through Saturday. And that’s going to bring some slushy snow to northwestern sections of New Brunswick. I mean, we wake up Saturday morning to -4 in Edmonton. That is why we’re seeing the snow now. The snowfall and how much we’re going to get is very dependent on elevation in New Brunswick, but we’re looking at possibly 5 to 10 centimeters for Edmundston and Fredericton, couple of centimeters for you after. Yes, that rainfall. Now taking a look at our winds, we’re breezy through today. Winds pick up slightly through Friday, but it’s really Saturday as the system departs that Yarmouth could see gusts in excess of 80 kilometers an hour. You’re going to be breezy in Halifax as well. How long does this system last? Well, that moisture feed just doesn’t want to let up across the region until the latter part of our long weekend. As we get you through Monday, we’re all in the clear.
