2024 Olympic qualifier: ‘Cameroon can’t stop Super Falcons’ – Ajibade
Super Falcons winger Rasheedat Ajibade said the players are determined to secure a place at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The West Africans have not made an appearance at the Olympics since the 2008 edition hosted by Beijing, China.
The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are standing between the Super Falcons and a place in the final round of the qualifiers.
The two teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Douala on Friday.
They will clash in the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Wednesday.
“Our objective remains getting the Olympic ticket. Personally, I have never played at the Olympics and that is the case with an overwhelming majority of players in this team,” Ajibade told thenff.com.
“We are determined to take this opportunity. We have another 90 minutes to make our claim to the final-round ticket, and we are focused on a positive result.”
