BRASÍLIA – O ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad, afirmou na noite desta quarta-feira, 8, que não vai comentar a decisão do Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) do Banco Central de reduzir a taxa Selic em 0,25 ponto porcentual, interrompendo um ciclo de seis cortes consecutivos de 0,50 ponto. “Depois eu comento”, disse.

A decisão foi dividida. Votaram por uma redução de 0,25 ponto porcentual os membros mais antigos do Copom, indicados pelo ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro: o presidente do BC, Roberto Campos Neto, Carolina de Assis Barros, Diogo Abry Guillen, Otávio Ribeiro Damaso e Renato Dias de Brito Gomes. Já os indicados pelo governo Lula votaram por uma redução de 0,50 pp.: Ailton de Aquino, Gabriel Galípolo, Paulo Picchetti e Rodrigo Teixeira.

Nas redes sociais, a presidente do PT, Gleisi Hoffmann, afirmou que a decisão do Copom é um “crime contra o País”. A deputada também chamou a diretoria do Banco Central de “bolsonarista”, em referência aos diretores indicados pelo governo anterior, e criticou a autonomia da autarquia.

“É um crime contra o país a decisão do Copom, de cortar apenas 0,25 ponto da maior taxa de juros do planeta. Não há fundamento econômico para isso e houve divergência de quatro diretores nessa decisão”, publicou Gleisi, no X (antigo Twitter). “A inflação está sob controle e em queda, o ambiente de investimentos melhora, os empregos também. O nome disso é sabotagem”, emendou.

Aos jornalistas, Haddad esclareceu ainda que a reunião desta quarta com o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva foi para tratar de votações no Congresso. Ele disse que deve se reunir provavelmente nesta quinta com o presidente do Senado, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG). A expectativa é de que Executivo e Congresso cheguem a um acordo envolvendo a desoneração dos 17 setores e dos municípios./Com Iander Porcella
