Erling Haaland has missed Manchester City’s FA Cup semi final against Chelsea (AP)
Pep Guardiola has revealed that Erling Haaland is a doubt for Manchester City’s Premier League clash against Brighton next Thursday after the striker missed the FA Cup semi final against Chelsea on Saturday.
Haaland was forced off in the 91st minute of City’s Champions League quarter final on Wednesday evening due to injury before Guardiola’s side were beaten on penalties.
Guardiola revealed on Friday that Haaland is suffering from a muscular issue and was a doubt for City’s trip to Wembley.
But the Norway international was not even named on the bench for City’s semi-final tie against Chelsea.
When asked about Haaland before City’s FA Cup clash at Wembley, Guardiola replied: ‘He’s injured. I don’t think it’s much but he’s not able for today.
Asked if Haaland will return for City’s game against Brighton next Thursday, Guardiola replied: ‘I don’t know.’
