GPs frustrated by Shingles vaccine shortage
Well, doctors say patients are at risk of a painful yet preventable virus, with the new shingles vaccine currently out of stock across NSW. Shingrix, manufactured by GSK, is free for those aged 65 and over, with a second dose required to be delivered within two to six months. What we’re seeing is that we have exhausted the supply that the company was able to supply to us and we’re now having to wait for them to try and do a bit of catch up. News stock is expected later this month, but many Sydney clinics and pharmacies do say they have a good supply.
