Hyde Park stabbing: Man is charged after allegedly knifing cop in the head in Sydney's CBD
A 34-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a police officer in the head with a 30cm kitchen knife in Sydney's CBD.
Constable Elvis Poa, 35, and another officer from Kings Cross Police Area Command were conducting traffic duties at the intersection of Castlereagh and Park Streets, on Sunday when he was allegedly stabbed by the man shortly after 1pm.
The man approached Mr Poa from behind and allegedly stabbed him up to three times in the head with a 30cm.
