dunelm's january sale ends on sunday - the best buys i could find in the winter offers

Dunelm store

It’s safe to say that Dunelm has had shoppers in a frenzy thanks to its January bonanza. The sale saw thousands of items reduced across bedding, homeware, furniture and electrical departments.

For the last few weeks fans have been able to get up to 50% off selected products, and there has been lots of chatter on social media about the reductions. But sadly the sale can’t go on forever.

On Thursday, the retailer sent an email out to all its customers confirming exactly when they all end. The email reads: “Hurry, Sale ends Sunday!

“Tick-tock! Time is running out for our BIG sale bargains, but there’s still time to secure serious savings without breaking a sweat.” That means you have just four days left to shop the deals online and in-store before Sunday, January 21.

I picked out some of the best buys to be found in the sale, with lots of winter warmers such as bedding, electric throws and thick-pile rugs included.

Here are some of our best Dunelm sale picks over the last few weeks:

Lots of bedding

You can find some of the biggest reductions in the bedding section, with sets on sale with 50% off. Florals are a staple pattern on bedding and you can find a stunning set on sale currently with prices from £12-£15 – single and double sets available. Sadly there aren’t size options for king and super king bedding on the website.

The Catherine Lansfield Seersucker Reversible Natural Duvet Cover & Pillowcase Set has also been reduced. The set was originally priced between £20-£35 depending on what size you choose, but has been lowered to £16-28. The set includes standard pillowcases with button fastening and is machine washable. It features a Seersucker design and is fully reversible.

We also love this spring-themed Fiori Pink Floral Reversible Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set, which is now on sale with prices for £10. The pink and white sheets have a floral pattern all over them, and there are lots of reviews from shoppers too.

As part of the price cuts, the Billie White Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set has been reduced. The set was originally priced between £32-£52 depending on what size you choose, but has been lowered to £25.60-£41.60.

We also spotted a range of stunning teddy bear bedding sets you can pick up from £11.20. The cosy sets are made with a furry material to keep you warm on cold winter nights. The bedding is available in 21 different colours so you’re bound to find a shade that you like.

Electric blanket

Dunelm fans have been praising a heated blanket for being ‘warm’ and ‘snug’. As the majority of the nation is covered in a sleet of now and experiencing a cold, icy snap the blanket is perfect to keep you warm. The heated blanket is designed like a mattress topper and is meant to be fitted underneath your bedding to keep you toasty during the night. Dunelm claims the blanket costs just 3p an hour to run, making it a cheaper alternative to switching the central heating on. What’s more, it is currently with prices from £32 to £40, usually it’s £40 to £50.

Accent chair

Dunelm shoppers are in love with a ‘gorgeous’ chair that’s been slashed in price in the retailer’s huge January sale. The popular retailer has launched its ‘big sale’ with up to 50% off bedding, furniture, home décor, lighting, rugs and more. As part of the price cuts, the Elsie Velvet Chair has been reduced. The chair, which comes in colours mushroom, cream, thistle, lily pad and grey, was originally priced at £99, but is now available for £79.20.

Boucle ottoman

Shoppers love this trendy boucle ottoman that they say looks great in their homes. The ottoman is handy for storing bits and bobs in any space and can help make any space tidier. T he Boucle Lozenge Ottoman is available in two shades – cream and black. Dunelm currently has also reduced the ottoman by 20%, making it £47.20, instead of £59.

Wool rug

Fans are rushing to buy this rug that is available in 11 colours and is currently on sale. The Boston Wool Border Rug is a handcrafted, plain rug that will add a splash of colour and pizzazz to any room. It is available in a variety of different lengths and sizes, and right now can be picked for £20 to £319.20. Only some of the sizes are on sale, as part of Dunelm’s bumper January bonanza.

Dual control fitted blanket

If you struggle with sharing a bed with someone who disagrees with your preferred temperature choices, it’s definitely worth paying extra for a two-control version. Dunelm ‘s best value option currently is the Carmen Fitted Electric Blanket, which starts at £29 and goes up to £49 depending on the size of your bed. The fully machine washable blanket comes with three temperature settings, overheat protection and a fast heat-up mode. Costing around 13p a night to run, it is also guaranteed by the manufacturer for three years.
