A recycling specialist that has been operating in March for more than 11 years was crowned as environmental champion.
Goldstar Metal Traders Limited were announced as winners of the eco-themed category in this year’s Fenland Citizen Business Awards.
The business specialises in disposing of scrap metal and supplies a range of containers. It has a total of 400 skips and containers in service throughout the Midlands and East Anglia.

The team have more than 50 years of combined experience in the waste and recycling industry.
Neil Bowers from Goldstar Metal Traders said: “I feel brilliant, I think we are lucky enough to have been recognised and still push ahead.
“The types of materials we recycle, anything from fabrics to oil to wastes there are not too many people in that sector, so we found them and invented ways that we have been working on for four years.

“We are lucky enough to get a government grant this year to keep going.
“To win this award it just shows that the work we do is paying off yet again.”
Goldstar Metal Traders Limited were up against Fenland Families and Baby Bank C.I.C. and The Little Fenland Eco Shop for the award.
This award was judged and sponsored by the Fenland Citizen.
