A new K-drama starring “Our Beloved Summer” actor Choi Woo Shik just dropped on Netflix, and — is that the Fishing Capital of the Philippines, Navotas City?

On YouTube Saturday, Netflix Philippines uploaded on a 2-minute clip from an episode of the drama that featured the life of Choi’s character, Lee Tang, in the slums of Manila. The clip showed him working in fish port not unlike those in Navotas.

In the description box, Netflix said “Back in March 2023, news broke that Choi Woo-shik was shooting his latest K-Drama in the Philippines after residents spotted him and a production crew in and around Navotas City.”

“A Killer In Paradox” was released on February 9, and is currently streaming on Netflix. It tells the story of a man who accidentally murders a serial killer and a detective who pursues him relentlessly.

In the description box, the streaming site said the scene is from the series’ 8th episode.

It seems Woo Shik is a constant Philippine visitor — at least last year. In November, he had a fan meet at the SM North Skydome.

Aside from “A Killer Paradox,” he is known for his character as Choi Ung in the Korean drama “Our Beloved Summer” and the Oscar-winning movie “Parasite.”
