Galanza flaunts form as Creamline draws first blood
MANILA, Philippines — Jema Galanza sizzled in Game One as Creamline drew first blood in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference best-of-three finals and took down Choco Mucho in four sets, 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, May 9.
Creamline is now one win away from taking its fourth straight all-Filipino conference title, and eighth overall championship in the league.
Galanza led the defending champs with 20 points on 18 attacks and two blocks, and she displayed her floor defense by tallying 13 excellent receptions.
Tots Carlos also added firepower with a double-double performance of 17 points and 12 excellent digs.
Former Flying Titan Bea De Leon also scored in double-digits for Creamline with 11 points built on five attacks, five blocks and one ace.
Creamline’s playmaker Kyle Negrito orchestrated 19 excellent sets.
On the other hand, the Flying Titans were led by Sisi Rondina, who scored 27 points, and Royse Tubino, who added 15 points.
