The Scottish Gas Scottish Cup
The Scottish Cup quarter-final draw was made this afternoon and Airdrie will face a trip to Championship rivals Morton IF they can topple Hearts in their fifth round clash.
Rhys McCabe’s Diamonds are about to face-off with Premiership side Hearts at New Broomfield in the 5pm kick-off and they know if they manage to spring another shock in this season’s competition, they will face a trip to Dougie Imrie’s Morton.
Airdrie are currently the only Lanarkshire side left in the competition after Motherwell came a cropper at Cappielow on Friday night at the hands of Morton.
The full draw for the quarter-finals is as follows:
Morton v Airdrie/Hearts
Celtic v Livingston
Aberdeen v Kilmarnock
Hibernian v Rangers
The ties will be played over the weekend of March 9-10.
