Sania Mirza is all for learning about patience, it seems. The former tennis star recently took to her Instagram Story to share a post about the art of patience – or Sabr – doubling down on “trusting Allah’s plan.” All eyes have been on Sania since her split from her former husband Shoaib Malik, who is now married to actor Sana Javed.
The tennis legend shared a post from another account that detailed what Sabr is. “What is Sabr?” began the post. It went on to detail all the ways in which patience and trusting God’s plan manifests, highlighting Sania’s bond with her Creator.
“Sabr is smiling at people despite all the hurting inside you,” read the post. It further stated, “Sabr is when tears come rushing down your eyes and wiping it off before anyone notices it. Sabr is forgiving people who are cruel to you. Sabr is having full Imaan (faith) in Allah that everything will work out. Sabr is trusting Allah’s plan.”
For Sania to share this in her current personal climate is very telling. Regardless of the difficulties, Sania is moving on, keeping her head held high, despite all hardships. The post also sheds light on how Sania may be feeling internally at this point in time – a rare admission of sorts on her part that lets her followers know that she is healing, even if that healing may not be linear.
As of late, Sania has been sharing posts on Instagram of all those closest to her in life. She can be seen appreciating her family, with posts dedicated to her sister, son, and niece. As Sania continues to embark on this wellness journey that consists of immense healing, her fans and admirers continue to wish her well.
