Former Chiefs player begins coaching

Sandie Zuke is back in professional football. The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is starting his coaching career in the second division.

SANDILE ZUKE APPOINTED BY SUMMERFIELD DYNAMOS

After ending his second last chapter at Bizana Pondo Chiefs in 2021, Dynamos have promoted Zuke from senior player to assistant coach.

“Sandile Zuke’s coaching career has begun at Summerfield Dynamos in the KZN ABC Motsepe League,” Football Stage reported.

“The midfielder who ended his playing career at Dynamos is now the Assistant Coach at the club,” the note concluded.

GEORGE MALULEKA JOINS SAFPU

Most of you may have heard of the South African Football Players’ Union (Safpu). The group was previously run by former players, until the Tembisa-born Maluleka signed up last week.

“I’m honoured to be one of the players that are still active to be elected as part of the union. It is not going to be an easy task, but I think the leadership is going to help us to try and rebrand and rebuild the union,” Maluleka said, as per Sowetan.

“We really want to try and make sure we get a lot more players on our side because there is still a little bit of belief that the union is not for players, but we are for the players and we are here to serve and make sure we protect them.

“It is very important that we have a very good relationship with the players to make them understand, and we will try to make things more easier for them, more understanding that when they have situations when it comes to clubs, then they know what to do,” the player known as Mido concluded.
