Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has once again been recognized by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Mahomes first made the Times 100 list in 2020, followed by last year’s edition honored as a ‘Titan.’ He returns to the list for a third time after being named Super Bowl MVP and winning Super Bowl LVIII with the Chiefs this past year.

The Times 100 list comprises the most influential groups of pioneers, artists, leaders, titans, innovators, and icons from the past year. Mahomes graces one of the issues worldwide covers for the TIME100 issue, each highlighting a member of the new list with an accompanying feature interview and a TIME100 tribute.

Major League Baseball World Series champion Alex Rodriguez wrote Mahomes’ excerpt in the Times 100 piece. Check it out below:

“Patrick Mahomes has always had the heart of a champion. I remember Pat as a young kid, coming to practice with his dad to tee up baseballs for me and my teammates. I distinctly remember giving him the worst advice ever. ‘Don’t play football. The money’s in baseball.’ I’m happy to be wrong and glad he didn’t listen!…Patrick’s legacy will live on far beyond his playing days. And—as evidenced by his back-to-back Super Bowl wins—he’s not done yet!”

Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning, and now Rodriguez have penned excerpts for Mahomes, continuing to praise his contributions to the game and growing admiration for his consistent success.
