The Fairly OddParents Gets Rebooted… Again
The Fairly OddParents franchise began with the original animated series, which ran for 10 seasons on Nickelodeon from 2001 to 2006 and 2008 to 2017. All 10 seasons were centered around the adventures of 10-year-old Timmy Turner, who solves his everyday problems by getting his wishes granted by his fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda. Timmy Turner was also the protagonist of the three live-action Fairly OddParents TV movies, with former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell playing him.

A live-action sequel series titled The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder was also produced, airing a single season on Paramount+. Developed by Christopher J. Nowak, Fairly Odder picked up several years after the events of the original animated series, following Timmy Turner’s cousin, Viv Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall), and her stepbrother (Tyler Wladis) after they’re gifted Cosmo and Wanda by a college-bound Timmy Turner. Despite positive reviews, the series was pulled from Paramount+ after underperforming on the platform. A New Wish looks like it will ignore both the live-action films and series, serving solely as a continuation of the beloved original series.
