HAYATINI KAYBEDEN ESKİ MİLLİ GÜREŞÇİ HÜSEYİN GEZER’İN CENAZESİ, ÇAYIROVA TÜRKAN GÖKTÜRK CAMİİ’NDE BUGÜN KILINAN NAMAZIN ARDINDAN ŞEKERPINAR MEZARLIĞI’NDA TOPRAĞA VERİLDİ.

Kocaeli’nin Çayırova ilçesinde akciğer rahatsızlığı sebebiyle hayatını kaybeden eski milli güreşçi Hüseyin Gezer (47), ebediyete uğurlandı.

1992-1998 yılları arasında serbest stil Genç Milli Güreş Takımında 50 defa ay-yıldızlı mayoyu giyerek Türkiye’yi temsil eden ve 1997 yılında Gençler Avrupa üçüncüsü olan Hüseyin Gezer, bir süredir Süreyyapaşa Göğüs Hastalıkları ve Göğüs Cerrahisi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde tedavi görüyordu. Gezer, doktorların tüm çabalarına rağmen kurtarılamayarak dün sabah saatlerinde hayatını kaybetti.

Hüseyin Gezer’in cenazesi, Çayırova Türkan Göktürk Camii’nde bugün kılınan namazın ardından Şekerpınar Mezarlığı’nda toprağa verildi. Türkiye Güreş Federasyonu Başkanı Şeref Eroğlu cenazeye çelenk gönderirken, Çayırova Belediye Başkan Vekili Sadettin Arıboğa, Hüseyin Gezer’in yakınları ve çok sayıda vatandaş katıldı.
