Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson attended the Masters Of The Air premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

While on the red carpet, the 67-year-old Oscar winner and the actress, also 67, made the rare move of posing with their two sons, Truman and Chet.

Both boys work in Hollywood.

Truman, 28, donned a black satin suit with a gray button-down shirt as well as his identical grin. He works in Hollywood. Truman was a production assistant on 2019’s Charlie’s Angels with Kristen Stewart and then worked in the camera department on films such as Black Widow, West Side Story and Asteroid City.

Chet, 33, dressed to impress as he sported an emerald green, velvet blazer with satin lapels over an otherwise all-black ensemble featuring a dashing vest and tie. He is an actor who had recurring roles on television series Empire, Shameless and Your Honor.

Tom and Rita are also parents to actors Elizabeth, 41, and Colin, 46, from Tom’s first marriage to Samantha Lewes, whom he divorced in 1987. She died in 2002.

Chet has had a troubled life growing up in Hollywood but lately he seems to have found peace with his devotion to God, which inspired him to get a tattoo of a big cross.

Chet has long been synonymous with controversy as he’s made headlines over the years for his erratic behavior in relation to drug and alcohol abuse. He’s also been accused of domestic abuse by a former girlfriend and ‘cultural appropriation’ for impersonating a Jamaican accent. Chet made headlines in 2022 when he claimed his dad Tom — a beloved Hollywood leading man and philanthropist — was not a ‘strong male role model’ for him.

He also proclaimed that his life’s ‘purpose’ is to serve God and opened up about his troubled past in a four-slide text post. ‘I have been in character for as long as I’ve been in the public eye,’ Chet wrote in bold, white lettering. ‘I’ve played many roles and worn many masks. Actor. Rapper. Fitness guy. Lambo guy. None of them are the real me.

Chet confessed that he has long been ‘an expert at playing the fool because I learned it as a survival mechanism. ‘But the more I look around at the world I see that the world doesn’t need any more caricatures. False depictions of who we think we need to be. ‘There’s only on thing the world needs more of and that’s God,’ he continued.

Chet believes that his hardships — including his past struggles with addiction, infamously erratic behavior and domestic violence allegations — were due to the absence of God in his life.

‘All the pain in my life has resulted from one thing – the lie of believing that my purpose is anything but just serving God,’ the sober star wrote.

Chet concluded the post by admitting that he’s unsure how to best serve God but believe that God will guide him in the right direction.

‘It’s not fully clear to me yet how I can best serve Him but I feel that this level of honesty is a starting point. And I know He will continue to reveal more,’ he wrote.

He also encouraged his 530,000 followers to embark on their own spiritual journey by accepting God into their hearts.

The born-again Christian has since deleted the posts.

Chet recalled the moment ‘God revealed Himself to me’ during a 2021 appearance on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast. Chet said he was an angry, rule-breaking 17-year-old when his parents sent him away to a 12-week camp in Utah wilderness. During a hike, Chet found himself ‘overcome with emotion’ as he embraced the beauty of the landscape from an ‘elevated perspective.’

‘It felt like I was touched by the hand of God. It was at that moment God revealed Himself to me,’ he told Paul and his co-hosts.

All that anger, and that hate, and that resentment flipped. It inverted to just infinite hope, gratitude, peace, love. It just flipped on a dime, like that. And I was so overcome by emotion, I just sat at the edge of that cliff and I wept. I wept for an hour, uncontrollable weeping for like an hour. It did not cease, but tears of joy,’ he continued.

‘Tears of everything, feeling every emotion at once, all the pain and all the joy.’

Though he was deeply moved by the experience, Chet still ended up venturing down a dark path plagued with drug addiction, alcoholism and violence that got him into legal trouble. He’s also been accused of cultural appropriation and was previously accused by a girlfriend of abuse in 2021.

Chet told Paul that that period of his life lasted from age 16 to age 24 when he made the decision to get sober.

The star previously admitted to selling coke and smoking crack, before checking into rehab in 2014. ‘A couple months ago I was selling coke [and] doing coke until I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged. I even smoked crack,’ he revealed on Instagram at the time.

He seemingly fell off the wagon in 2021 as he revealed in September 2022 that he’d been sober for just one year.

Hanks was an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg, 77, on the upcoming drama series.

At the event, Hanks also posed for a photo on the red carpet with his co-executive producer Gary Goetzman — who also opted for a dapper, all-black outfit.

At the premiere, Butler also posed for a photo with his costar, Barry Keoghan.  The Saltburn star put on a stylish display in a sleeveless, cropped white tuxedo vest teamed with matching, wide-leg pants.  He donned black, patent leather dress shoes with red bottoms for the occasion.

The duo also posed for a photo with their fellow castmate Callum Turner — who dressed up in a black, pinstriped tuxedo teamed with a white button-down and black tie.

Rafferty Law and Matt Gavan — who also star in the series — also showed up to the premiere in dapper looks. Law donned a burgundy-colored, double-breasted blazer over a satin, brown button-down and matching pants.  Gavan dressed sharp in a deep blue, velvet tuxedo with a black bowtie.

Elliot Warren, who also stars in Masters of the Air, donned a deep navy suit with the blazer unbuttoned to reveal a matching T-shirt.  Branden Cook dressed to impress as he sported a brown tweed suit with brass buttons and cherry red dress shoes for the premiere.  Dee Rees looked effortlessly stylish as she modeled a black, white and gray top with a faded graphic pattern teamed with wide-leg leather pants.  She also sported red leather boots for a pop of color.  Jonas Moore looked chic as he sported a forest green suit with a black T-shirt, shiny chain and leather dress shoes.

Bo Derek was also spotted at the premiere with her husband John Corbett. She looked effortlessly stylish in a white scoop-neck T-shirt paired with a fitted, velvet blazer and corduroy pants.  She also sported pointed-toe, leather booties and was spotted toting around a denim blue clutch with purposefully distressed and frayed hems. At her side, the My Big Fat Greek Wedding star donned a black denim shirt teamed with a cozy windbreaker and jeans.

In Masters of the Air, Butler plays Major Gale Cleven in the nine-part series from executive producers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks based on the Donald L. Miller book of the same name.

The opening sequence of the teaser released on the same day listed executive producers Gary Goetzman alongside Hanks and Spielberg.

Spielberg, Hanks and Goetzman previously worked together on the 2001 HBO war series Band Of Brothers and were executive producers of the 2010 war miniseries The Pacific.

Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan, Nikolai Kinski, Stephen Campbell Moore and Isabel May also were credited in the opening along with Spielberg’s son Sawyer Spielberg, 31.

The series also will feature Ncuti Gatwa, David Shields, Ben Radcliffe, Elliot Warren, Nate Mann, Edward Ashley, Rafferty Law, Darragh Cowley and German actor Louis Hofmann.

Masters Of The Air will have a two-episode premiere on January 26 on the Apple TV+ service.

Filming for Masters Of The Air started in 2021 in England, but was delayed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The debut episode of Masters of the Air is set to premiere on January 26.
