Sky News host Chis Kenny says the energy madness “continues to escalate” following Labor’s announcement of the new solar panel manufacturing program Solar Sunshot.
“Lots of money, lots of grand promises but no word on when this might actually happen,” Mr Kenny said.
“I wonder where we’ll get the energy to heat and manufacture the aluminum and glass, and how they’re going to compete price-wise with the Chinese imports that are made with our coal and our ore.
“And given there are almost four million solar panels already installed in Australia already, why wouldn’t we have build more than one per cent of them previously if it was economically viable to do it here?
