Detroit Lions adopt new motto for the 2024 NFL season

If the Detroit Lions are going to finally get over the hump to make it to the Super Bowl and win the Big Game, they’re going to have to do just a bit more in 2024.

And that’s exactly what the team is trying to live by ahead of what is one of the biggest seasons in franchise history after Detroit was just 30 minutes away from a Super Bowl when it held a 24-7 lead over the San Francisco 49ers going into the half of the NFC Championship Game last season.

During his press conference on Tuesday, Lions tight end Brock Wright, who re-signed with the team after it matched the offer sheet he signed with the 49ers, revealed what the team’s motto is for 2024:

“It takes more,” he said.

The Lions have traditionally been the underdog, but that has changed after last year’s 12-5 campaign that ended in the NFC Championship Game.

Now, teams are going to be gunning for a Lions squad that is slated to be among the best in the NFL. Thankfully for Detroit, it has the talent to not only be elite in the regular season once again, but to also to make another deep playoff run.

Along with their new motto, the Lions will also be sporting new uniforms this coming season, which are set to be revealed on April 18.

The team dropped a teaser video that give a slight sneak peek at the new threads on Tuesday. You can check that out right here.
