DepEd most trusted, top performing govt agency in Q1 — OCTA

MANILA, Philippines: The Department of Education (DepEd) emerged as the most trusted and the best performing government agency, according to the first quarter Tugon ng Masa survey by independent pollster OCTA Research.

In the survey from March 11-14, 2024, it said that DepEd had an 82 percent trust rating, followed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DoH) with 79 percent, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) at 73 percent and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at 71 percent.

The Education Department’s trust ratings were the highest in Mindanao, with 94 percent, and those under socioeconomic class D and E with 85 and 71 percent respectively.

DepEd also was the top performing government agency in the first quarter of 2024, with an 84 percent performance rating, followed by the DoH at 80 percent, DSWD at 77 percent, CHEd at 73 percent, and DPWH at 72 percent,

DepEd’s performance ratings were also the highest in Mindanao at 95 percent, as well as among those under socioeconomic class E with 89 percent performance rating

The survey had 1,200 respondents and has a margin of error of plus or minus three percent.
