Old video of couple surfaces just before arrest

PETALING JAYA: Just a few hours before Hafizul Harawi was arrested in Kota Baru yesterday, an old video of him and wife Farah Md Isa was uploaded on a Facebook page.

The one minute and 14-second video, with the caption “28 Jan 2024”, showed a moment before the couple began performing prayers together, with the location tagged as Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Scrolling down the Facebook page belonging to “Farah Cie al Haramain”, several other videos showing loving moments between the two people were apparent.

However, on Feb 23, Farah – who is also known as Farah Cie – claimed that the Facebook page that used to be run by her had been hacked.

“My Facebook account named ‘Farah Cie al Haramain’ which used my photo and details was hacked on Feb 19.

“Therefore, I urge everybody to be careful with any posts made by the account.

“I’d like to emphasise that I don’t have access to the account and the posts on it,” the pilgrimage travel agent wrote on her second Facebook page account named “Farah Cie”.

Farah also issued several other statements claiming that her Saudi Arabian phone number had been misused by someone impersonating her business profile to lure people into paying for non-existent umrah packages.

Meanwhile, Facebook users flooded the comment sections urging Hafizul, suspected of being the man who shot at her at the KL International Airport on Sunday, to turn himself in to the authorities to clear things up.

“What had happened that led you to this extent? Repent…,” user Cahaya Kehidupan said.

“Hafizul, turn yourself in. The whole of Malaysia is stressed about you. Don’t do this,” Padma Zachariah wrote.
