Darwin’s annual Thai Festival returns with vibrant traditions and flavours

Thousands of kilometres from Bangkok, Tantalising Thailand comes to the Top end. It’s really beautiful and we proud of it. Yeah, I love it. I love the food, the culture. We actually just missed the opportunity to go overseas to Bangkok. So this is my makeup holiday. It’s great for tourism, great for the community to see what else goes on in the world. Darwin’s Thai Festival with its food, dance and fashion, an annual draw card for the growing multicultural community. Hundreds or hundreds of years old, Culture Australian is our new home. And this is, you know, learn the way we come from and learn to live together. Harmony leaves the festival a chance for ancient Thai traditions to be passed on. Make sure that our new generations are aware and knowing, learning our culture. I mean, I feel like we home, you know, like it’s good to see, like to hear the music that it’s popular in Thailand. Barbecues are firing for the tastes of Southeast Asia. We just love to make food and then we’re like, we’re so happy that people come to try out food. Make me feel in Thailand. Now this is a centuries old Thai pancake. It’s hard to find anywhere else. Specific fire pots have been imported, especially for this occasion, but it’s festivals like this that make tasting these possible. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. Sorrow. It is the 4th best pancake in the world. A little slice of home for those far from it.
