Damon Severson Scores For Canada In World Championships Pre-Tournament Game Against Austria

Columbus Blue Jacket defenseman Damon Severson scored today against Austria in an IIHF World Championship pre-tournament game. The game was held in Vienna, Austria at Steffl Arena.
Severson has played in two World Championships for Canada. In total, he has played 20 games and has 14 points. He is joined on the Canadian blue line with Olen Zellweger, Bowen Byram, Jamie Oleksiak, Owen Power, and Colton Parayko.
Adam Fantilli also played in this game but didn’t register any points. 2023 first overall pick Connor Bedard, and the presumed 2024 first overall pick Macklin Celebrini both picked up assists.
Team USA plays their first Pre-Tournament game on May 7th, against Slovakia.
