Johannesburg residents in the vicinity of Siemert Substation are advised of a scheduled power outage set for Wednesday, 21 February.

The interruption will occur from 9:00 to 17:00.

Affected areas in Johannesburg power outage

City Power advise residents in specific neighborhoods of Johannesburg to prepare for an upcoming interruption.

  • Saratoga Ave West
  • Women’s Res Home
  • Sealed Outside

The interruption is imperative to facilitate essential maintenance work on the network, aligning with our commitment to consistently enhance service delivery.

“The maintenance work is a crucial aspect of our ongoing efforts to improve service reliability for our valued customers,” said City Power.

Caution urged during power restoration

While the entity will make every effort to promptly restore power, it reminds customers to exercise caution and consider their electricity supply points live at all times, as the supply may resume unexpectedly.

City Power acknowledges the inconvenience this interruption may cause and assures affected residents that it will take every measure to minimise disruption.

The entity understands the importance of uninterrupted power supply and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
