NPFL: Kano Pillars win big, Bayelsa Utd record away victory
Kano Pillars recorded the biggest win in the Nigeria Premier Football League on matchday 21.
The Sai Masu Gida thrashed Sunshine Stars 5-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Ibrahim Mustapha scored a brace, with Rabiu Ali, Auwalu Ali and Mustapha Umar scoring the other goals.
Sunshine Stars got their consolation goal through Promise Awosanmi’s penalty.
At the Eket Township Stadium, Bayelsa United defeated Akwa United 1-0 to ease their relegation worries.
Eyong Ofem scored the decisive goal 13 minutes from time.
