Cindy Morgan’s roommate described a ‘bad odor’ coming from the actress’ unit in a 911 call made before Morgan’s body was discovered.

TMZ obtained audio of the 911 phone call made by Morgan’s roommate after the actress went ‘MIA’ and the stench came to her attention.

News of Morgan’s death at age 69 emerged last week. It is unclear when exactly she died, but it may have been several days before her body was found in her bedroom by police on December 30.

According to the sheriff’s office, Morgan’s roommate called 911 on the 30th after she returned home from a holiday vacation and found that the actress wouldn’t answer when she knocked on her door, TMZ reported last week. The roommate informed officers she last saw her roommate on December 19.

In the 911 call, the roommate stated it had been days since she had last seen or heard from Morgan and only heard her pets making noise in the room.

Animal control was set to enter the unit the following day, but the roommate ended up calling 911 after noticing the foul odor.

‘I live in a shared apartment and one of my tenants is like MIA. I’m not sure if she’s in there or not but she lives with animals,’ she began.

‘I’m just worried about my tenant… she don’t have no one,’ she later added. ‘I just came out of my room and I smell a bad odor coming from the room.’

She later said: ‘When I knock the door, it’s just the dogs bark. All along there wasn’t any stench, but just now there’s this strong, bad odor.’

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Morgan’s death to TMZ on Saturday, noting that she had died in the area.

A representative for the county later confirmed to the outlet that Morgan had died of natural causes.

So far, foul play is not suspected, though an investigation is reportedly ongoing. A cause of death is not yet known, TMZ added.

Morgan was best known for her sizzling appearance in Caddyshack, as the bombshell Lacey Underall.

In 2012, Morgan talked about Caddyshack and her audition for the part: ‘Caddyshack was my first film and I’ll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies.

‘So at first, I had nothing to lose to audition. It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look ’em in the eye, do that thing many women know how to…’

While Caddyshack was her breakout role, it was not her first. She had a small part in 1980s American Gigolo starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton, per IMDb

Cindy was born in Chicago and after 12 years of Catholic schools she headed to Northern Illinois University where she was a DJ on the campus radio station.

After college she worked for a local television station in Rockford, Illinois where she was the weather girl and as a DJ on Chicago’s WDSM.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1978 to try her hand at acting.

Morgan booked the role of the Irish Spring Girl in advertisements while she took acting classes.

In later years, Morgan appeared in several short films and worked as a voice over artist for video games.

Her last film role was in 2011 in Empty Sky and her last television appearance was in a 1994 episode of Under Suspicion.

Outside of acting, Morgan was passionate about her philanthropic work with veterans of the U.S. Military from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. She worked to help alleviate the financial hardship those vets may be experiencing.

She also worked to raise funds for the Illinois Family Relief Fund, which helps the families of National Guard members, reservists and those on active duty.
