Chobani pulls popular oat yoghurts from shelves
Yoghurt retailer Chobani has axed the company’s oat yoghurts from supermarket shelves, much to the surprise of shoppers.
Customers noticed that the product range had disappeared from stores, prompting speculation about what had happened.
Chobani confirmed the product had been scrapped.
‘Like all of our Chobani products, our Oat Yoghurt was delicious and nutritious, but unfortunately not one of our most popular,’ the spokesperson told 7 News.

‘We’re constantly challenging ourselves to innovate and create products that our fans love, so we have decided to delist oat yoghurt from our range, paving the way for exciting new Chobani products.’
Dozens of users took to social media to share their disappointment at the move to remove the product.
‘This is so sad. It’s the only vegan yoghurt I like,’ one shopper said.
‘I’m so disappointed,’ another wrote.
‘I regularly bought them, and now there’s norhing that really compares.’
Daily Mail Australia contacted Chobani for further comment.
The yoghurt offered buyers a dairy and lactose free alternative to Chobani’s yoghurt range.

The snack came in several flavours including mango, strawberry and Vanilla.
The oat yoghurts has also been removed from the company’s website.
The company was founded by CEO Hamdi Ulukaya in the US in 2005 before the business opened up in Australia in 2011.
